Crocodiles and Kangaroos: Create two safe zones at each end of the space and a center line. Divide class into teams. Line them up facing away from eachother along the center line. One team is Crocs and one is Kangaroos. Call out one team name and that team is “It” and chases their partner to the line. If they get tagged they do an assigned movement. Then both teams reset on the line and go again.
Superman/Hollow Drills: This drill is to help athletes learn to feel the difference between these two positions. Have them lay in a row on the floor. Explain each body position and have one child demo. Call out one of the position to the group and have them perform it. If they are successful laying down, transition to a standing position and repeat the exercise. If time allows and the athletes are ready you may transition over to hanging from a bar and moving through the positions.
